NCC – A Legacy of Valor: Rooted in Faith, Proven in Action
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
Since 1962, the National Cadet Corps unit at Lucknow Christian Degree College has stood as a living emblem of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation. This is not merely a tradition—it is a relentless pursuit of excellence that has burned brightly for over six decades. What began with a handful of determined young men has grown into a legacy—one where every drill, every camp, and every salute reflects the same zeal and commitment as the day it was founded. Our NCC unit inspires every cadet to live with purpose, act with honour, and lead with unwavering faith.
A Proud History of Service
For over six decades, the Lucknow Christian Degree College NCC unit has been more than just a training ground — it has been a crucible where young men and women are transformed into responsible citizens and dynamic leaders. From the very first batch of cadets who donned the uniform with pride, to the present generation marching in step with the same resolve, the spirit of NCC at Lucknow Christian Degree College has never wavered.
Over the years, our cadets have excelled in national camps, Republic Day parades, adventure expeditions, and social service missions, and have been commissioned into the Armed Forces year after year, our cadets are living proof that valor is not a momentary act but a heritage passed down, nurtured, and renewed through each generation.
A Milestone in NCC Excellence
In 2025, Lucknow Christian Degree College proudly hosted the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-218) on its campus—a ten-day gathering of over 500 cadets from various institutions, alongside the steadfast staff of the Battalion. Each day was marked by rigorous drills, skill-building sessions, and a spirit of service that reflected the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline.” Like the timeless call to “be strong and courageous,” cadets met every challenge with determination, teamwork, and an unwavering sense of purpose. By successfully organizing an event of this magnitude, Lucknow Christian Degree College has not only strengthened its illustrious NCC legacy but also reaffirmed its role as a beacon of leadership and training since 1962.
Training for Discipline and Leadership
Our NCC curriculum blends rigorous physical training with leadership development, survival skills, community service, and adventure activities. Cadets are groomed to face challenges head-on, whether in uniform or civilian life. Drill sessions, weapon training, map reading, and field craft are complemented by opportunities to lead in cultural events, disaster relief, and social outreach programs.
Achievements that Inspire
The LCDC NCC unit has consistently excelled at Republic Day Camps, National Integration Camps, and Pre-Commission Training programs. Many of our cadets have represented Uttar Pradesh in prestigious national events, earning medals and commendations for their discipline, sportsmanship, and service. These achievements stand as a testament to our commitment to excellence.

NCC Beyond the Parade Ground
Our cadets are deeply involved in community service initiatives — from blood donation drives and Swachh Bharat campaigns to disaster relief efforts and literacy programs. By serving the community, they embody the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline” while living out the Biblical call to serve others with humility and courage.
A Call to Serve
At Lucknow Christian Degree College, joining the NCC is more than a commitment—it is a transformation. It is the call to wear the uniform not as an adornment, but as a promise: to be ready, to be strong, and to serve. Every drill, every camp, every salute builds a cadet into a leader who can inspire others. And when you march with your head high on the parade ground, you do so knowing that you are part of a tradition that began in 1962 and will continue for generations to come.
